Robin of Locksley
Robin Hood
PERSONALITY Robin Hood is an extremely well mannered thief. While he started his days the same as any other bandit, just stealing for the sake of stealing and making a living, he ultimately learned that he didn't have the heart to hurt other people for the sake of only himself. He made a vow that he would only steal from the rich to give to the poor- that he would only take from those who deserved it, and had the money to spare. He adopted a group of merry men who followed the same code as him, and they banded together to be a less than legal force for good. Robin is an extremely loyal man and feels obligated to follow a high moral code that extends far beyond stealing from the rich to give to the poor. He holds to his promises and never goes back on his word, no matter what. He believes in sacrifice when it's needed and he's not afraid to take one on the chin for the team. He's noble and brave and always ready to defend those he cares about. While he's willing to go to great lengths to help others, he dislikes magic, and would rather only use it when it's absolutely needed. He has a very good heart and is quite friendly towards other people, often smiling and making jokes. It's easy to see why he has a band following him around- he's a naturally charming man. Most of the time, he prefers being with company than being on his own. He also deeply loves his son, Roland, and despite his bandit appearance is a family man at heart. HISTORY Robin was a petty thief in the Enchanted Forest, and spent most of his time stealing just to get by. When he met Marian, however, he gave up his thieving antics and became a bar owner to have an honest life with his wife. When the tavern starts to fail, however, he makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin to steal an Elixir for him from Oz. When there, he meets Will for the first time, and promises to bring him some of the elixir too. Things don't quite go as planned, though, as he is caught by Zelena and only manages to grab on vial of potion before fleeing. Ultimately, he sacrifices his chance at completing the deal with Rumple to leave the potion with Will, whom he feels deserves it. He returns to the Enchanted Forest and decides to become a thief again, though he makes a promise only to steal from the people who deserve and to never hurt the innocent. Marian gets ill after some time, and in order to save her, Robin sneaks into the Dark One's castle to steal a magic wand from him. He is, however, caught by the Dark One and spends several days being tortured until he is freed from the castle by Rumple's maid, Belle. He later reunites with Marian with the wand and heals her, saving both her and the baby still growing inside of her. Roland is born, but it isn't long before Marian is executed on the queen's orders, though Robin blames himself for it, saying Marian was put in harm's way while he was working a job. He ultimately helps Neal get the Neverland to help repay his debt for Rumple saving Marian. When everyone ends up back in the Enchanted Forest, Robin and Regina finally meet. He helps them escape a flying monkey. He takes them to Sherwood Forest to help keep them safe from the new threat living in Regina's castle. Robin goes with Regina to her castle, where he stops her from attempting to use a sleeping curse on herself. Regina and Robin spend a lot of time bonding with one another as they jump from the Enchanted Forest, back to Storybrooke, dealing with Zelena the whole time. They come to love one another, though it's soon ruined by the Marian being revealed to have been brought back from the past after Emma and Hook accidentally got sent there. Robin ends up leaving Storybrooke with Roland and Marian, to start a new life together in the world without magic. They stay in Neal's old apartment, at least until the moment when Robin discovered that his deal wife was actually Zelena in disguise, who had hoped to keep Robin and Regina apart purely to take what her sister had away from her and cause her suffering. He returns to Storybrooke with Regina and Roland, angry to know that Zelena killed Marian, but at least somewhat relieved that he could reunite with Regina. Though he had been with Marian, he had always felt like she had grown into another person and hadn't been entirely as in love with her as he once thought. Understanding why, he was able to accept his true feelings- that Regina was the one he loved. RP SAMPLE Robin wasn't sure if he preferred Storybrooke or the Enchanted Forest. There was no denying that the modern adjustments to living that the Land Without Magic offered were indeed appealing, but he had always enjoyed his time in the forest. It wasn't like he had ever needed much to get by- he had been happy and free back home. Here, in this town, he was confined. Imprisoned, even. Still, it was better than that tiny apartment he had been living in with Marian in New York. Scratch that, with Zelena in New York. A part of him still couldn't believe that had happened- that Zelena had managed to impersonate his dead wife for so long, and he hadn't noticed a damn thing. Sure, he had thought she was being a little weird, perhaps, but that was all, really. Never once had he even entertained the thought that she was someone else. That he should leave her. He had married her- it was his duty to stay by her side. That was the rule that had taken him from Regina. If he had known, then, that it had all been some kind of trap, he never would have left. Now that he had, what must she think of him? That he was easily swayed, and would leave her again sometime? He felt the guilt grabbing at his chest, and he sighed heavily. Somehow, he had to make it up to Regina, even if she didn't seem to outwardly show any anger towards him. Even if she said she was fine with what had happened, he wasn't. He felt like an idiot for leaving her, his true love, for someone who hadn't even been his wife. Even if it had been Marian, he never should have left Regina. Gone were the days where he wanted to live happily ever after with her. He had moved on after her death. He should have made the right choice from the very beginning. He heaved another sigh and downed another drink, sitting at the bar of the Rabbit Hole. Drinking wasn't going to solve his problems, but it would certainly help blur them for a little while. |
